http://www.purewebdesigns.co.uk/?p=282 The World Heart Beat Music Academy envisions a world where music, as a universal form of communication, bridges cultural, political, economic and linguistic barriers.

The Academy aims to bring the myriad of the world’s cultures together through music, providing an environment where all people can experience harmony with their fellow citizens and be empowered to create a feeling of identity and oneness with humanity at large.

I was lucky to be able to design the site and colour scheme from scratch to reflect the joyful, fresh and diverse nature of the Academy. The site is a full content management system in WordPress, so the client has control over the content.

The design is clear and simple so the images can tell their own story. They are categorised by country, following the client’s subtitle for the site: Boundless Journey

The structure is based on Airtight Interactive Flash tools, so the client can manage the photos himself. There is also a Flash music player.

http://www.purewebdesigns.co.uk/?p=213 The Eternal Peace Flame is a monument to humanity’s aspiration for peace. It was dedicated to the city of Oslo in 2001 by Sri Chinmoy.

The website is powered by WordPress, so essentially is a blog, allowing the client to add news and photos. It includes a translation plugin to accommodate bilingual content.

The client didn’t have any colours or pre-designed identity. I was thus lucky to have freedom to create a look for the website that supports the dignity and magnificence of the outer site.
